Our  Story

Get to Know Us

The Montessori method of education is a type of educational method that involves children's natural interests and activities rather than formal teaching methods. A Montessori classroom places an emphasis on hands-on learning and developing real-world skills. It emphasizes independence and it views children as naturally eager for knowledge and capable of initiating learning in a sufficiently supportive and well-prepared learning environment.

Philosophy

The Nido Montessori School was launched to provide families with a new standard of preschool and childcare in Samarinda, focusing on early children experiences and education. The word 'Nido' is Italian for 'nest' and was inspired by the principle of Montessori, which is the world-class educational philosophy upon which our school is founded.

At Nido we have taken the Montessori Approach to early childhood education and adapted it to suit the Indonesian culture, climate and educational expectations of families. Our school uses calming colours, natural products and are designed to inspire a love of the natural environment.

Everyday in our dynamic learning environment, children have fun while learning. Your child will be as comfortable and confident in our school as they are in their own home.  We encourage children to feel secure while taking risks and challenging themselves, building confidence that leads to a lifetime of success.

Staffed by a team of qualified and passionate early childhood educators, we are committed to delivering an exceptional early learning experience for every child and family. Together with our multicultural family of children, parents and teachers, we strive to develop a community of lifelong learners.
